My cats spend most of their day at the window, either catnapping or watching bird TV, so I wanted to get them a perch to relax in. I decided to try out the Zakkart Window Perch for my boys. I’d tried a different window perch in the past, but it was too flimsy and the suction cups would constantly come unstuck, causing my boys to take a tumble. 

They enjoy snuggling up together, so sturdiness and suction cup strength was a big factor for me (especially since one of my boys is part Siberian and quite sizeable). This perch is supposed to hold 40+ pounds of weight, so I wanted to put it to the test!

Assembly couldn’t have been easier. The base and arms snap together, you slide on the suction cups, velcro on the bed and voila, it’s sunbathing time! If aesthetic is a concern for you, it’s actually really cute and its minimal design blends right in. The bed is so plush and soft and it looks like it’ll be really easy to clean.

In terms of durability, I was surprised at how secure it was – it really didn’t budge! They even had a little scuffle while both on it, and it withstood their antics. The suction cups really adhere to the window well. It came with an extra suction cup and it even mentions that you can contact the company to receive more suction cups, free of charge, which I loved.

Since I put up their perch, they’ve spent about 90% of their time in it, with the other 10% being spent eating or pretending they haven’t yet eaten so they can trick me into giving them more food. I’m so glad I decided to try out the Zakkart Window Perch – it honestly exceeded my expectations and it definitely improved their napping game. My boys love it and I love seeing them happy!
